Electricians
Apprenticeship: Five-year inside (commercial) apprenticeship, two-year residential electrician apprenticeship, and three year Voice Data Video Technician apprenticeship
About Electricians install and maintain electrical power, communications, lighting and control systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. On the jobsite, they occasionally work in confined spaces and/or heights. Electricians read and follow blueprints and specifications for installations. During installations, they may bend, fit and fasten conduit (pipe or tubing) inside partitions, walls or other concealed areas. All electricians must adhere to the requirements of the National Electrical Code and comply with state, county and municipal code requirements. Requirements
Apprenticeship Training Commercial / industrial apprentices will complete 8,000 hours of training. Residential apprentices will complete 4000 hours, and telecommunications apprentices will complete over 4,800 hours of training. All apprentices will receive over 180 hours of classroom-style learning at one of our training centers each year. Earn While You Learn Built by Pros is a pipeline to the skilled trades workforce.
